Folio Editor Suzanne Matson writes:
Our built and natural landscape, taken in conjunction, is a site of traces and erasures, telling stories of natural progressions overlaid with waves of human construction, intervention, and destruction. I will be editing a collection of short writing—poetry, lyric essays, and flash fictions—that explores "Place as Palimpsest": What was made and then replaced or abandoned? Where are the hauntings? What washes up? What blows away? What's out of place? How long does something or someone stay? What takes its/their place?
Please submit poems up to 60 lines, or prose pieces up to 1000 words, for this special folio in Post Road 36 (Fall 2019), by May 1, 2019.
